Let us help clarify the DCM concern…

There are less than .05% to 1% of the 77 million dogs in this country that have DCM, and less than .1% are speculated to have DCM related to diet. The recent research states 119 dogs and 5 cats died out of the 515 dogs and 9 cats identified as DCM while feeding a grain free or a grain food.

At Patsy’s Pet Market, we research every brand we sell and put our reputation behind it. We work closely with quality pet food companies that practice 3rd party testing and also outside research. We are committed to high standards when it comes to the health and welfare of your dogs and cats.

The FDA is stating there is no scientific evidence that grain free foods containing some carbohydrates could potentially lead to a deficiency of the amino acid, TAURINE. There is further research that needs to be done when foods that do not have high meat content (or none at all) and use peas and potato as the protein source

Please know we CARE about your best furry friend and will continue to keep you posted on any products we believe do not meet our high standards.
